Revitalise Fitness is owned and operated by Paul Persad. This privacy policy explains how Paul uses any personal information he collects about you when you use this website and/or Paul’s services.

What information does Paul collect about you?

Paul collects information in a number of ways, and only ever with your consent. Information is collected as follows:

  • when you submit your details via the ‘contact’ form on the website;

  • when you contact Paul directly to enquire about his services;

  • when you complete and submit a PAR-Q, Health Questionnaire and/or other information-gathering paperwork upon first consultation with Paul; and/or when you use Paul’s services.

The information collected will vary depending on which of the above means of communication are used. Paul only collects information in line with the GDPR definition of consent: “any freely given, specific, informed and unambiguous indication of the data subject's wishes by which he or she, by a statement or by a clear affirmative action, signifies agreement to the processing of personal data relating to him or her.”

Paul’s Data Processing is deemed lawful under article 6.1.a of the GDPR as “the data subject has given consent to the processing of his or her personal data for one or more specific purposes”; as is the case with Paul’s group session clients; and/or article 6.1.b (b) where “processing is necessary for the performance of a contract to which the data subject is party or in order to take steps at the request of the data subject prior to entering into a contract”; as is the case with all of Paul’s Personal Training clients with whom Paul has a contract.

Consent can be withdrawn at any time by contacting Paul by phone, email or in person (or where an electronic opt-out option is available).

In the unlikely or accidental event of a data breach, Paul will contact the individual(s) concerned and where appropriate report the data breach to the ICO.

How will Paul use the information about you?

When information is submitted via the ‘contact’ form on the website, Paul collects this information in order to process and respond to your request for information and/or services. For those wishing to sign up to receive email updates, Paul will use your name and email address to contact you in future by email regarding updates, services or events, etc which he feels may be of genuine interest to you.

You can unsubscribe at any time by contacting Paul directly. If you are submitting your details in order to enquire about Paul’s services, then you may also choose to input your location. Location information is used to decipher how near/far you are located from Paul, and the information you provide relating to how you heard about Revitalise Fitness is used by Paul to identify and evaluate the effectiveness of different sources of referral.

When information (beyond contact information) is submitted directly to Paul (by phone, email, through completion of a Health Questionnaire/Screening Form, and/or in person at the point of enquiring about Paul’s services, but prior to registering for these services, this information is used by Paul to evaluate the suitability, safety and potential benefits of the service(s) for the individual. If the individual chooses to not use Paul’s services, then this information will be securely destroyed, unless the individual requests that Paul retain this information for potential future services.

In the instance of an individual registering for Paul’s services (be this through attending a group class, or by entering in to a contract for Paul’s services) information will be used to deliver the appropriate services to the individual and to maintain the suitability, safety and benefits of the service(s) provided for the individual. Contact details will be used for communication purposes relating to the services for which the individual has registered. This includes communication to inform the individual that the session is cancelled or postponed.

Marketing

Independent from communication relating to the services for which an individual has registered, you may also consent to receive email newsletters (either through opting in via an electronic form or by confirming you wish to do so directly with Paul). If you choose to do so, then Paul may occasionally send you information about his services, events, etc, which he feels may be of interest to you. If you have consented to receive marketing, you are very welcome to withdraw your consent to contact you for marketing purposes at any time. If you no longer wish to be contacted for marketing purposes, please email or call Paul directly or please click unsubscribe from the emails that may be used.

Access to your information and correction

Paul takes the security of the information he holds very seriously. All paper files are securely kept within a locked location when not in use and are only processed by Paul. Should you choose use Paul’s online coaching services; all electronic documents are saved in the cloud and are therefore only accessible through Paul’s online account which is password protected. Any computer hardware is securely stored and password protected. Paul will never share your information with any other person or company, unless compelled to by law.

You have the right to request a copy of the information that Paul holds about you. If you would like a copy of some or all of your personal information, please contact Paul via the contact form through this website. Requests will be responded to within one month. Paul has the right to refuse a request if he deems it excessive, in which case he must explain why and you have the right to complain to the statutory authority.

It is important to Paul that your personal information is accurate and up to date, and that he only holds information about you which you are happy for him to hold. You may ask Paul to correct or delete information you think is inaccurate, or which you deem no longer necessary for him to hold. Paul will not keep any paper or electronic files for longer than 7 years following your last contact with him. After this time, any paper files will be shredded and any electronic files will be securely destroyed.

Cookies and Google Analytics

This website is hosted by Squarespace. Squarespace only use standard cookies on this website. Cookies are text files placed on your computer to collect standard internet log information and visitor behaviour information. These serve to enable your search engine to easily find the website again following your first visit to the website. You can set your browser not to accept cookies.

The website also uses Google Analytics to provide data regarding the geographic location (city or country) of the website user and the website which they linked to the website from (Google, Facebook, etc.). This information is used by Squarespace to compile statistical reports on website activity for Paul’s reference only. You can set your browser not to accept Google Analytics.
